Golive Views

Golive provides a flexible framework for organizing and visualizing data, serving to the diverse needs of various teams within an organization. Use Views as customizable lenses through which you can focus on specific subsets of Golive data.


Default Views

When Golive is first installed, it comes with pre-defined views. These can be customized to suit your requirements and are shared with other Jira users. For detailed information about the available types of Views, refer to the View Types section of our documentation.


Creating and Managing Views

Creating a New View

To create a new View in Golive, follow these steps:

  1. Click the View Browser to open the drop-down menu.

  2. Click + Create View.

  3. Select the appropriate View Template that aligns with your goals.

  4. Fill in the required fields and follow the on-screen instructions.

Browsing Views

You can browse through your created Views using the View Browser. Scroll through available Views or use the search function in the More Views section. To access all Views, click Manage Views at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

Managing Views

The Manage Views page provides an efficient way to organize, filter, and control your Views. It offers multiple tabs for quick access to all your saved Views. To access the Manage Views page:

  1. Open the View Browser menu.

  2. Click Manage Views at the bottom.


Edit Mode

Customize how information is displayed and retrieved within a specific View using Edit Mode. Only Golive Administrators or View Owners can access this feature.

To enter Edit Mode, simply click Edit at the top right corner of Golive Pages.


Copying a View

To duplicate a View:

  1. Click the gear icon.

  2. Select Copy.

This creates a new View with the same settings as the original.


Favoriting and Pinning Views

To make important Views more accessible, Golive allows you to favorite or pin them:

  • Favoriting: Click the star icon to add the current View to your favorites. You can rearrange favorites by dragging and dropping them in the View Browser.

  • Pinning: Pinning ensures easy access to frequently used Views.

    • Global Pinned Views are managed by Golive Administrators and appear on the Golive Global Page.

    • Project Pinned Views are managed by Jira Project Administrators and appear on the Golive Project Page.

To pin a View, click the gear icon, select View Settings, and check Add to Pinned Views.


Sharing Views

Golive Views, like Jira Issue Filters, can be shared with other users:

  1. Click the gear icon.

  2. Select View Settings.

  3. Check Share with other users to make the View accessible to others.
