Before you start

To install Golive Server/Data Center, ensure that you have:

Install from Jira Plugin Manager (UPM)

STEP 1 ****Log into your Jira instance as an admin

STEP 2 ****Click the top-right admin cog and choose Manage apps (or Add-ons)

STEP 3 ****Click Find new apps from the left-hand side and locate Golive | Environment Management Hub via search.

Find Golive and Start your Free trial

STEP 4 ****Click Free trial to start your trial or Buy now to purchase a Golive license. -> You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Golive begins to download.

STEP 5 ****Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian

STEP 6 ****Click Apply license

If you're using an older version of the Universal Plugin Manager, you can copy**-**paste the license into your Jira instance.

Manual upload from the Marketplace

If your Jira instance does not have access to Internet or to the Atlassian Marketplace (corporate firewall), you have to download the app manually from the Golive Marketplace Listing and upload it manually:

STEP 1 ****Download the latest version from the Golive Marketplace Listing Version History Make sure your download a version compatible with your Jira instance (Server or Data Center).

STEP 2 ****In your Jira instance, click on the top-right admin cog and choose Manage apps (or Add-ons)

STEP 3 ****Click the Upload app (or Upload add-on) link at the top right side of the page.

The following dialog appears:

STEP 4 ****Enter the location of the JAR or OBR file to upload using the file selector or by specifying a network location by entering a URL. Then click Upload: a confirmation message appears when the app is successfully installed.

STEP 5 ****If prompted, restart your application to have your change take effect.

You can now manage the app from the user-installed apps list on the Manage Apps page.

(Optional) Delegate Golive Setup to non Jira Administrators

As Jira Administrator, you can delegate the setup of Golive to non Jira Administrators.

STEP 1 Select Golive > Golive Home in the Jira top menu

STEP 2 Select Permissions in the View Settings menu

STEP 3 Click on Add Role at the bottom of the Global Permissions list of roles

STEP 4 Choose a name for your role, for instance “Golive Administrator”

STEP 5 Add the Apwide Administrator permission in the Permissions picker

STEP 6 Select Jira users or users groups that should be granted with that role

Create a new role and define your Apwide Administrators

DONE These users are now autonomous to setup Apwide Golive! They can Setup their first Jira Project
