Creating Environment Landscapes

In this article, you’ll learn how to create Environment Landscapes in Golive. It covers two methods:

  • Creating a Single Environment Landscape

  • Creating Multiple Environment Landscapes at once

For key concepts and definitions, refer to the Environment and Application Landscapes documentation.

Creating Environments Landscapes

Single Environment Landscape

To create a single Environment Landscape, follow these steps:

  1. Click +Create Environment in the upper-right corner of any Golive page.

  2. In the Create Environment page, select the Single Environment tab.

  3. Choose an Application tagged as Landscape. Golive will automatically add the appropriate Tiers to the new Environment.

Tip

To create a new Application Landscape, click +Create new Application or Application Landscape. You’ll then need to select or create Tiers in the Application Tiers section.

  1. Choose a Category or create a new one.

  2. Enter a Name for your new Environment Landscape.

  3. Review the list of Environment Tiers that will be linked to the Environment.

  4. Choose a Deployed Version or create a new one.

Click More to define additional settings such as:

  • Panel Scheme

  • Status

  • URL

  • Additional attributes defined in the Default Attributes field of your Environment Attributes settings. Refer to section “Customizing Environment Attributes” below for more information.

  1. Click Create.

To modify or add Tiers later, refer to the Adding Tiers to an Environment documentation.

Multiple Environment Landscapes

To create multiple Environment Landscapes at once, follow these steps:

  1. Click +Create Environment located in the upper right corner of Golive pages.

  2. In the Create Environment page, select the Multiple Environments tab.

  3. Choose one or more Applications tagged as Landscape. Golive will automatically add the appropriate Tiers to the new Environment Landscapes. If you need to create new Applications, refer to the Manage Applications documentation.

  1. Select the Environment Categories. If you need to add new Categories, refer to the Manage Environment Categories documentation.

  2. Optionally, choose the Environment Attributes.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Define the Attribute values for the attributes you selected in the previous step. You may leave a field empty if you wish to define the attribute without assigning any value.

  5. Review the Environment Landscapes to be created and the attributes to be defined.

  6. Click Create Environments.
