Deployment Logs Calendar

Deployment Logs Calendars are used to track the version deployment history of your Environments. This article will guide you through setting up and managing them.


Requirements

Before setting up the Jira Issues Calendar, ensure that you are familiar with basic concepts and Calendar features described in the Timeline Core Concepts article.


Creating a Deployment Logs Calendar

Requirements

You must be a Golive Administrator or Timeline Owner.

Steps

  1. Access the Timeline where you wish to create a Deployment Logs Calendar.

  2. Click Edit at the top right corner.

  3. Click Add Calendar in the Calendars section on the right of the screen.

  4. Select+ Create a new calendar at the bottom of the list.

  5. Choose Deployment Logs.

  6. Enter a Name for your new Calendar.

  7. Optionally, choose to Group events of this calendar in the same row using the checkbox.

  8. Select an Event Display Options:

    1. Background: Shows the primary calendar events prominently, with other calendars subtly faded in the background.

    2. Range: Highlights specific calendars with clear start and end date displays.

    3. Tag: Displays events based on status changes.

    4. Dot: Uses dots to represent events on the timeline.

  9. Use the Filters section to specify Environments, Versions, and Version Names.

  10. Click Done.


Creating an Event

To add a deployment event to the timeline, you can use one of the following methods:

Drag and Drop

  1. Access the Timeline.

  2. In the Calendars section on the right side of the screen, drag the desired Calendar and drop it onto the timeline at preferred time and date.

Calendars Menu

  1. Access the Timeline.

  2. In the Calendars section, click on the desired Calendar to create an event.

Alternatively, click the Calendar Actions button (three horizontal dots) and select Create Event.

  1. Enter the following information:

  • Target: Deployment target.

  • Version: Deployment version.

Select None to indicate no version is deployed.

  • Build Number: CI build number.

  • Description: Additional information related to the deployment (optional).

  • Issues: Issues related to the deployment.

  • Deployment Time: Effective date and time of the deployment.

  1. Click Save.


Editing a Deployment Event

Requirements

  • PLAN Calendar permission.

  • PLAN OWN Calendar permission (for rescheduling your own events).

  • ADMIN Calendar permission.

  • Golive Administrator or Manage Calendars global permissions.

Steps

  1. Access the Timeline.

  2. Locate the deployment in the Timeline and click on it.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Make the necessary changes.

  5. Click Save.


Deleting a Deployment Event

Requirements

  • PLAN Calendar permission.

  • PLAN OWN Calendar permission (for rescheduling your own events).

  • ADMIN Calendar permission.

  • Golive Administrator or Manage Calendars global permissions.

Steps

  1. Access the Timeline.

  2. Locate the deployment in the Timeline and click on it.

  3. Click Delete.
