Congratulations! Golive is now enabled only for the selected Jira projects.

Manage security and permissions

Golive uses a flexible role-based permission system to control read and write access.

Delegate Golive setup to non-Jira Administrators

To delegate Golive setup to non-Jira Administrators, follow these steps:

  1. Access Apps > Golive in the Jira top menu.

  2. Click the gear icon next to the + Add Environment button at the upper-right corner.

Congratulations! Designated users can now independently set up Golive in their Jira Projects.

Default permissions on standard groups

On a fresh installation, Golive permissions are granted to default Jira groups like jira-administrators, jira-users, jira-software-users, etc.

Info

If you use custom groups, add them to roles created during Golive installation. Refer to the Security and Permissions documentation for detailed instructions.

Role-based Permission system

The Golive Role-Based permission system is intricate. You must be cautious when changing default Golive Roles. Understanding the difference between Global and Environment permissions before making changes is crucial. For detailed information, refer to the Security and Permissions documentation.

Important

Avoid removing permissions from default Golive Roles without a thorough understanding of potential impacts.
